    BARBER, Leslie Frederick Hugh (Regtl No. 65583 NZ Rifle Brigade, First World War; Regtl No. 427745 RNZAF, Second World War). On February 20, 1990, at Taumarunui Hospital (peacefully); in his 98th year. Loving and dearly loved husband of the late Dorrie, loved father and father-in-law of Grace & Alister Pitt (Timaru), Doris & Ralph Porteous (Taumarunui), and Les & Gae Barber (Hamilton). Proud and loved grandfather of Annette, Christine, Donald, Debbie, Leesa, Mark, Jill and David, treasured big-grand-dad to his great-grandchildren Joanne, Sandra, Nicola, Willie, Rebecca, Michael, Christopher, Gregory, Virginia, Justin, Ashleigh and the late Simon, special friend of his sister-in-law Margaret. His funeral service will be held at St Pauls Co-operating Parish, Taumarunui, tomorrow (Friday), February 23, at 11am, following by a private cremation.
