  • Uncle Luie was my Nana Jean Campbell Johnson's (nee Mackenzie) uncle.
Nana's mother was Maria Rosa Mackenzie (Nee McFarland). Nana was the middle child, of three. Her mother died when she was very young. Uncle Luie's brother Joe (Joseph McFarland & his wife Aunty Malvina), used to live in My Roskill.
They have all passed on now, but my mother Margaret Maria Andersen (from first marriage), is the eldest of Nana's five children.
Nana kept a letter from Uncle Luie, which is why I remember him.
