    Proceeded overseas to France, 27 August 1918; posed to 4th Battery, 2 September 1918.
    Reported wounded (date unknown); admitted to 56th General Hospital, 10 October 1918 (gun shot wound, back); transferred to England, and admitted to Bethnal Green Military Hospital, 12 October 1918; transferred to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 13 December 1918.
    Commenced return to New Zealand on board HMNZT 'Zealandic', 28 February 1919; discharged (no longer physically fit for War Service on account of wounds received in action), 1 May 1919.
    War service: 2 years 35 days (of which 312 days were abroad)
