  • Ernest was my grandfather Aio Tetuanui Taripo's brother in law. Aio married Ernest's sister Caroline Beautrice Mitchell. My mother Edna Taripo spent most of her childhood with Ernest's parents.
As a large Taripo family we honour Ernest's sacrifice and service with respect, thankfulness and remembrance. We feel deeply proud of his life and death.
