    Proceeded overseas to France, 10 October 1918; taken on strength, 1st Bn, Auckland Infantry Regiment, in the field, 17 October 1918.

    Found guilty, Sling Camp, 15 August 1919, of being absent without leave from 2200, 2 August, to 2000, 14 August 1919, and of delaying repatriation by missing sailing of HT 'Ayreshire': awarded 28 days' Field Punishment No 2, and forfeiture of 12 days' pay.

    Commenced return to New Zealand from Plymouth on board HT 'Remuera, 12 September 1919; disembarked Auckland, 26 October 1919; discharged, 23 November 1919.

    Total war service: 1 year 290 days (of which 1 year 164 days was abroad). AWMM
