  • John Leslie Monk was my Great Uncle. I have been to Gallipoli and walked on the beach at Anzac Cove, visited Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair and tried to get to Hill 60 where the memorial is to my uncle but it was too far inland about 1km and the bus tour didn't go there, a big disappointment as I took poppies over to lay there.
