    • Cecil Berry was the son of John and Anna Jane Houghton Berry, of Renwicktown, New Zealand.

Date of death may have been 6 August or 7 August 1915. AWMM
    • Cecil had three brothers, Charles Edward, Almericus Eglish and Stirling. Stirling died at the age of thirteen. There was one sister, Emily. My mother was the daughter of Charles Edward so Cecil was my great uncle. John Berry, Cecil’s father, was something of an adventurer. He came to New Zealand from England and surveyed part of the South Island before moving on to the United States. He returned to New Zealand and married and started a family.
