  • His ship also stopped in Kingston Jamaica, where his ship had run aground on a reef. He was detained for 23 days, then travelled on to New York then disembarked in England, marched in to Sling Camp, England. (Family Source, 8/05/ 2015)

    Because of the length of time waiting to be demobbed in England, he obtained permission to return via Argentina, whre he worked on an estancia for serveral years before returning to Auckland. (Family Source, 8/05/2015)

    He later became manager of a family machinery importing business in Anzac Ave, Auckland. ( Family source, 8/05/15) AWMM
