    • Much sympathy will he extended to the relatives of Trooper J. D. Mossman, who is reported as killed in action, in their double bereavement. It is only a few weeks since the death was reported from Egypt from diphtheria of Trooper T. H. Mossman, a brother of the soldier who has now fallen on the field of honor Trooper J. D. Mossman, who was in England when the British section of the N. Z. Expeditionary Force was organized, promptly joined that body and met his brother in Egypt. Both young men were highly esteemed, in the district, and the relatives in their sore trial will receive many warm expressions of sympathy. • Today I attended the 100 year commemorative ANZAC Service in Marlborough, where my thoughts turned to a lost generation of young men including my own Great Uncle James Dilworth Mossman who was killed in action on May 19th, 1915 at the battle of Gallipoli. You will never be forgotten. Paula Mossman

  • I live in Ireland and James is a descendant of my family from County Tyrone. I grew up not knowing about him but was always interested in Gallipoli. Now I know why.
