  • APPEAL FOR RELATIVES - 17 MARCH 2021

    Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage is the New Zealand agent for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC). As agents for CWGC we are responsible for graves of personnel who died between 4 August 1914 and 31 August 1921 and 3 September 1939 and 31 December 1947.

    Private Banaba Tipe has an official Commonwealth War Grave. Private Banaba Tipe was added the Commonwealth War Graves New Zealand Roll of Honour in late 2019. We wish to discuss maintenance we would like to undertake on his grave.
