  • Trooper Munn was the nephew of Miss P Munn of 3 Douglas Street, Palmerston North.

    Trooper Munn was wounded in action at 1.30pm on 5 June 1915 when a shell struck the trench and filled it with dirt. Munn was wounded by shrapnel in his abdomen. He died of his wounds five days later and was buried at sea.
