    • Son of Mrs. Anne Munro, of Napier Rd., Woodville, New Zealand

Typo on the Nominal Rolls, Pinfold Road, Woodville spelled as Penfold Road. AWMM
    • Walter was born August 9, 1892 in Taonui. He was a brother to my Paternal Grandmother Lilian Munro (m. Anthony George Thompson). Their father was John Murray Munro. I believe his brother was William Robert Munro who also served as a gunner in WWI but came back after being gassed. I'm still doing research on the Munro family - his was a large and complicated family and there were many siblings. His (possibly half) sister Sarah Anne Munro was married to newspaper publisher Charles Cecil Nation.
Walters father John Murray Munro was born in Scotland and served in the military in India in the 1880s. I haven't found out much more about him except some family lore. Public - Yvonne Rosalie - Other Relative - 27 July 2015 - Much has been assembled in my genealogical site on from family history and various census records and online newspaper articles etc
    • Another brother is mentioned in the document under the heading (images and Documents)
his name is Ray David Munro - Mother Sarah Ann written as Ann Munro in both entries - the same address - but this one does not have have the name of the Road Public - Maureen - Other relative - 13 March 2018 - on this page under the heading Images and Documents
