  • Roy Stanley Newdick was my paternal grandfather. I remember Poppa telling my sister and I when we were quite young about being in Egypt (during WW 1). Roy Stanley Newdick survived Gallipoli, but sadly Roy's brother died in France during the battle at Ypres and he is buried in Belgium. As a child I never knew about the horrendous experiences my grandfather must have gone through and the tragic loss of his brother. My Grandfather Roy Stanley Newdick was a kind and generous man. My father, Raymond John Newdick was Roy's eldest son. Terrance Newdick was Roy's youngest son.
