  • John Cross Brunskill was my Grandfather. A wonderful man who came back from the war blind from the result of shrapnel fire. he subsequently learned how to find his way around the house and take Grandma a cupper in the mornings. He mowed the lawns by crouching down and feeling the row he had yet to do. he also used to walk to our house most weekends which was about two blocks away. We bought him a foldaway white stick which he reluctantly used on these walks. a Darling Grandad !
