    Married Edith Woodcock 29 Mar 1916 in Auckland.

    Moeraki then transhipped to [HMAT 17] Malta at Sydney for Suez. AWMM

  • Great, Great Uncle - much loved and forever in our family history. RIP William.

  • William Averard COOK is my great Uncle who served in WW1 alongside his many brothers losing Austin Dwyer Cook in Galipoli and Ernest Claud Cook in France. he returned home with my great grabdfather Walter Stanley COOK to Maungakaremea and lived a full life passing away in 1963. He had 3 children Trevor Everard COOK, Beryl Constance COOK, and Olive Moira. We will remember him, his brothers and their bravery.
