  • Came to New Zealand in 1935 with his younger brother to attend Te Aute College 1936-1939. Enlisted in Napier. (Kokiri Patae, 2006).

    In 2001 he was awarded the 3LFG Commander's Commendation from Colonel Martin Dransfield for his efforts and involvement with Burnham Camp.

    Tangi held at Motuti Marae and he is buried next to his wife on the Hokianga Harbour. AWMM
