  • Many fond memories of my grandfather or Bimba as we use to call him. Think about him on Anzac day and his the other c company men that use to congregate at his whare in Tyndall road, Gisborne. They would always korero Maori about the war when we use to go there so we didnt understand what they spoke about. Found some writings of his after he died, he spoke of the germans and felt aroha for them especially when the MB fought hand to hand. Moe mai e te papa.
