  • Norman Olson was the son of Carl Magnus Olson and Ingere Olson, of Masterton, New Zealand. Native of Petone, Wellington.

    Embarked Wellington, 4 April 1917; returned to Wellington, 7 April 1917; re-embarked, 26 April 1917; disembarked Sydney, 2 May 1917; re-embarked Sydney, 9 May 1917; disembarked Devonport, England, 28 July 1916, and marched in to Sling Camp.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 14 September 1917; joined 4th Bn, NZ Rifle Brigade, 8 October 1917, and posted to B Company.
    Reported missing, 12 October 1917.
    Now, 17 November 1917, reported 'Killed in action, 12 October 1917'.
