    • Charles Over was the son of E. M. Over, of Onehunga, Auckland, New Zealand, and the late William Over.

      Died of meningitis AWMM
    • Charles was born St Martins Arsenal, Jersey, Channel Islands, 3 August 1882 where his father William Over and Ellen Mary (nee Gallagher)was posted in the HM 52nd Foot. He attended Adys Road Primary School in London and he left therein Nov 1889 for Boys School.He moved to New Zealand with his family in 1902 on the "Ionic". His father owned a music store in Eden Terrace, Newton, Auckland where he worked as a piano repairer til 1911.
