  • Jean Waldie was my Grandmother, and she told us many stories about the war. It was so important for her to help in the war effort. She was a nurse, and helped many injured soldiers. Grandma was so proud to be a New Zealander, and I have to say would be saddened to here we as a nation are even considering changing our flag. I think of them often, when I look at it. I often miss our chats, and loved her very much. Trasna Graham. Jean died March, 2002, and spent her last days in Masterton.
