  • John bishop was my great great grandfather. In 1911 he was a lieutenant and was adjutant of the Wellington/east coast regiment based in Gisborne He also had six children 4 boys and 2 girls He died of meningitis in 1917 A letter from me his great great grandaughter You served our country well and U showed all of your love to us.We appreciate you in our family and we are so lucky that you made it out alive my uncle and I have been researching you and you have had a great life we all miss and love you.
