  • wow this is surreal... a tribute to my dad - Karaitiana Aranui. I don't know much about his time in the war except for the rare few times he mentioned being overseas. when he passed away, some of his comrades came to pay their respects, and from them, I found out that his nickname was duck... I thought this was hilarious because my in laws had nicknamed me duck duck. I am proud of my dad for his service during WW2 and what ANZAC means for his memory and for all those who have served in war. Lest we forget. I love you Dad ake ake kia kaha e
