  • My connection with Robert Vining Parker is:- my father "Ernest Vining Marshall" was given his middle name signifying his friendship with my grandfather "Arthur John Marshall". I believe they were friends through various sporting codes. My grandparents lived at St Kilda, Dunedin, NZ very close to where Robert Vining Parker lived. I remember my late father telling him he got his middle name from a friend of his fathers.
    I have an old original photograph (posted on this site) which originated from my grandparents collection with his name written on the back, the photo was taken by "Zenith Studio, Dunedin" but is undated. Murray Marshall
