  • Hey Pop, It's 2020 and low and behold we find ourselves in a pakanga ourselves, one that as in your time has impacted on the world. This hoariri isn't the Jerry but comes in the form of a ngarara called Covid-19 and unlike your whawhai that took you away, this one has us staying home to save lives. It actually has made us return to some things we used to do with you and Nan, dad tends our gardens for vegetables and mum has been collecting the fruit and stewing to store for later, we cook every night but still have some things to learn before our meals are as sweet as the ones we had at your house. We had a clumsy memorial for you and your comrades this morning, as services have had to change. But your mokopuna tuarua have all made Poppy that we placed out front we will move those over to you soon. It is a way that we can revisit your stories to them, and we will make sure that they will
