  • Children Roy and Ellen May did not have same mother. Roy Burton Parkman (born 20 August 1910), Ellen May Parkman-possibly originally registered as Helen Alice (born 15 March 1916)

    He married Lillian May nee Luland, spinster at Gisborne on 20 January 1916.

    He was described in his medical examination as 5'91/4" tall, 160lbs in weight, with dark complexion, blue eyes and black hair. He had a small hernia on the left rquiring operation , and his feet were flat. He had at least one tattoo on his right forearm.

    .Mrs W. Parkman has received advice that her husband, Private W. Parkman, of the 25th Reinforcements, was killed in action on October 5th. Private Parkman was very popular and .well-known in this district, and had' been droving for the last five years prior to enlisting. He leaves a widow and one child.
