    Arrived NZ from England on 5 June 1911, where he took the appointment of Sgt-Major Instructor with the 5th North Auckland Regiment stationed at Whangarei.

    The Auckland Museum Library's manuscripts collection contains a brief biographical outline of Partridge's military career and includes a condolence letter written to his wife by one of his former comrades, outlining the circumstances surrounding Partridge's death at Gallipoli.
