  • My Uncle Alex was one of 5 sons . three of his brothers enlisted and fought during WW11. They were William ( Bill ), who was killed in action , Ernest ( Ernie), and my father Jack, . I believe that Uncle Alex spent his service in the Pacific , but could have had a stint in the Middle East , not sure . I believe he was a cook as well during his service as he used to tell me some interesting stories about what he ' cooked ' He came home safely as did Ernie and Jack ( dad ) He passed away in 2007 in Brisbane in his 90's
