  • Commenting on the photograph taken early in 1942 by the Italians, Mr Baker wrote 'I had just completed a Desert Campaign and transportation across the Mediterranean by Italian submarine so look fairly relaxed.'

    Cenotaph record initially prepared with the serviceman in 1999. Date of capture listed as 13 December 1942 in the List of 2NZEF Prisoners of War. AWMM
