  • Noel Baty enlisted as an Aircraft Apprentice. He then passed through the ranks Aircraftman Class 2, Aircraftman Class 1, Leading Aircraftman, Corporal Sergeant.

    He then remustered into Aircrew as a Leading Aircraftsman again, until he rinished trai ning at Wigram on Oxford aircraft, qualified for his Wings and was commissioned Pilot Officer. After a period in that rank, he was promoted Flying Officer, and ultimately Flight Lieutenant. He held this rank until retirement. AWMM
