  • Husband of Jose. Father of Hilary and Roger.

    Enlisted Easter 1941.

A note from Mr Boyd explains the reason for the two embarkation dates: 'The Independent Company which trained for three months at Wilsons Promontory, Australia, was meant to remain overseas on active service but due to advice from a General Williams of the War Office, London to the NZ Government we were returned to NZ. From Waiouru Camp we were sent to the Middle East as a unit but were eventually disbanded.'

Resided until death in Port Chalmers, Dunedin AWMM
