    On embarkation Mr D'Ath-Weston was destined for Canada for training but then continued on to Britain.

    Member of the 'Goldfish Club'. Flight Lieutenant Ernest Henry D'Ath-West, was serving as a Navigator for the 115 Squadron, on a Wellington III KOB. During a bombing attack on Hamburg, on the 26-27th July 1942, at approximately 3.55am, damage from fighter flak, caused the plane to ditch into the North Sea, 90 miles off the German coast. All five members of the crew spent 38 hours in the dinghy before being picked up by a German Sea plane. AWMM
