  • National Archives File: Trooper L.L. Griffiths 2 Divisional Cavalry Regiment. Alleged ill-treatment W.A.J 69/4 refers to soldier being confused as one of a party thought to have robbed a train. Sequel to more than fifty pages of archives is evidential in letter from Ministry of Defence to father circa Sept/Oct 1946 and (b) Testimonial from the Colonel of the Regiment 27 July 1949 (a copy of which is attached to the file). The soldier went on to become the Senior officer in charge of Training and Education for Operational Group RNZAF and Officer Commanding Conversion Technical Training Centre for Iroquois, Sioux, P3B Orion and C130 hercules aircraft 1968-70.
