  • He established a world long distance of high speed flight in 1945.

    He flew the first flight over Mt Everest to gain movie film and photos of peak 1945, this flight was arranged by the RAF film unit to enable planning of a possible post-war route to the summit. They spent an hour and 20 minutes over and around it.

    Cenotaph record initially prepared with the serviceman in 2001.
