  • On completion of service returned to University and Teachers' College for the years 1946-49. Was in Army doing Compulsory Military Training when Japanese attacked., transferred to RNZAF 18 June 1943.

    Pilot training: Wings 16 March 1944. Transferred to Reserve of Officers 1946

    Active in school cadets until 1970. Last rank held in Cadets was Flight Lieutenant. AWMM
