  • Additional information supplied indicates that Mr McLean was a "Don R" (Dispatch Rider) - an extension of his civilian hobby of being a motor cyclist. He finished his overseas service at Cassino. He visited various places of interest in Italy while on leave.

    On enlistment he was a foundation member of the 2 Battalion NZ Scottish Regiment, based in Dunedin. AWMM
