  • Ronald McNaughton was my Grandad and he never spoke of his time away at war but it had a massive toll and impact on the person he was. Unfortunately I was too young to understand this and just simply wish I knew him better and could have heard his story from him, or had something to pass on in his legacy to thank him for what he sacrificed for us.
An interesting story I was told was that Granddad was shot in the leg and spent time in a hospital in Bari, Italy. This is how my father got his name, Ronald Barry McNaughton.
