The display caption states: 'Jack Peat left NZ in July 1915 and served with the NZ Mounted Field Ambulance throughout the Sinai and Palestine Campaign. He died from malaria at Kantara after the armistice on 17 November, 1917'. Note: He died in 1918, display caption for year is incorrect. AWMM
