    Lance Corporal Nicol served with the Intelligence Section, 21st Battalion under the command of Captain J.H. Money and was issued with silk maps normally only distributed to officers

    Robert asked for his ashes to be scattered at sea. His son who went to Crete with him in 2001 has kept some of the ashes which he hopes to take back to Crete to scatter there.
