  • Married Hazel May Barber who served in WW2 as a nurse (38583)

Attached is a copy of the instructions Mr Richmond received on his posting overseas. He writes 'When I boarded the President Adams I found I was a lone New Zealander amongst a crowd of wounded American Marines - casualities from the Guadalcanal campaign, whose destination would probably be back to USA.

I was off loaded at 'White Poppy' which turned out to be Noumea.' AWMM
