    Death notices (NZH, 2 November 2006): RENNER, Donald Edward. Service No. 28 442, NZ Army (Artillery). On 31 October, 2006, peacefully, at the Lady Allum Hospital, Milford, Auckland; aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of Marianne. Much loved father of Ray and Charmaine, Rob and Julie, and Sue and Pat; grandad of Jay, Kirsty, Chris, Ethan and Sam. "You will be always in our hearts." A service for Don will be held at the Salvation Army Congress Hall, 369 Queen St, at 10.30am, to be followed by a private cremation. Davis Funerals Mt Eden FDANZ, Greifcare."

    "RENNER, Don. Service No 284442, World War II veteran, and esteemed Life Member of Takapuna Memorial RSA. Served on the Executive Committee, and Welfare Officer for many years. A great mate who will be sadly missed."
