  • Ronald Tanner was the son of Mabel Ellen Tanner and Ernest Charles Edwin Tanner (3/214)

    Husband of Remy; father of Kathy, Maxien, Ronda, Twyla, Dale

    Ron Tanner says he was cited for the DCM but that his record was destroyed by the Company Commander. The Company Commander claimed his own medal, the Military Cross.

    He wrote The Trigger and the Finger, a biography. Both his father and mother (Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service) served in WW1

    The service was held at Silverdale and Districts RSA
