    Vincent Salmon is quoted in the Auckland War Memorial Museum exhibition 'Long hard road' of 'Scars on the Heart', 'We did what we went there for and saw some fighting... the dive-bombers and fighters gave us a deuce of a time.' A photograph taken by Salmon of his friends is also on display with the quote 'The wogs love getting into the picture....' 'This was the best I could do when Snow and Rex wanted their picture taken.' AWMM
