  • Aquitania carried the 8th Reinforcement from Wellington to the Middle East. This included 218 officers and 5287 other ranks of 2NZEF. They arrived at Port Tewfik on 5 January 1943. Troop Ship Magazine: The Aquitania had a magazine called Te Waka-o-Tu copies of which are held in the Auckland Museum Library AWMM
