It appears that he was supervising the painting of the barracks, and in drawing his hand down the wall ran a needle into the palm of his hand. The needle broke, and in consulting a doctor he was advised to go to the hospital and have it removed. He was placed under an anesthetic, but his heart proved to be weak, and he passed away. The deceased was a son of Mr. C. J. Bloor, of the Black Horse, Stone, and was born at Stafford on Sept. 9, 1891. He went to Fiji about five years ago, and after being employed at the Government slip, took up motor work. On June 12, 1915, he enlisted with the Second Fiji Contingent, and on arrival in England was attached to the 6th Battalion K.R.R., was thrice wounded, and was awarded the Military Medal for conspicuous bravery during a raid.
