  • Thorough gentleman, great friend of my Dad, remembered from my childhood. Died June 2 1957 aged 76 (I was 12) buried St George Queensland Cemetery (Anglican). Has older style Australian War Graves marble headstone (they now are a Bronze plaque) - recorded as 7NZ Mounted Rifles - identified as Boer War Veteran & always known as SILVER McLACHLAN & this is also recorded on the headstone. Visited our home time to time back then - Fondly remembered. Other than what is recorded on his headstone I know nothing more of him, but I have often wondered.
    Public - Richard - 22 April 2016
