    • His father was Henry Browne who died March 27th 1904 and is buried in Nelson cemetery. He was christened in East Garston Berkshire in 1832 as John Brown and was married in Tasmania as John Brown. Some time after settling in the New Plymouth area he began to use Henry Browne.
