    • Choat is buried in Hamilton West Cemetery, died 28 June 1931 aged 52; buried with wife Hannah died 14 Oct 1972 aged 89. Choat was son of Alfred John and Ellen Mary Choat. WA Choat was bootmaker before the Boer War, then sawmiller at Kopu, then aerated water and cordial manufacturer in Hamilton from 1917. Cycle accident 1919.
