A native of Ross, he had for many years been engaged in the sawmilling industry. He was 66 years of age. He was a South African Veteran leaving with the 8th Contingent. Besides his wife he leaves a family of four, there being two daughters (Mesdames Willoughby of Woodstock and J O’Loughlin of Wellington) and two sons. The funeral took place at Hokitika Cemetery this afternoon.
