  • Son of George Patrick Pierce and Eleanor Pierce (nee Connell) ; husband of Winifred E. Pierce (nee Lewis).

    Attended King's College 1896

    Architect, Bamford & Pierce, together they designed Coolangatta house, Remuera, Auckland, an exceptional Arts and Crafts house, demolished in 2006.

    He also designed the building Pierce Buildings on the corner of Khyber pass and Symonds Street for his mother who owned the land.

    He also designed the tea kiosk in the Domain as part of the Exhibition

    Remembered on the Takapuna War Memorial, The Strand, Takapuna.

    Known as Hector. Named A.F.H. Pierce on the Takapuna War Memorial. Moeraki then transfer to Port Sydney at Sydney for Suez. AWMM
