    • The career of Edward Alfred REES, a New Zealand lawyer who served in NZ forces of South African War 1899-1902 and then returned to Transvaal to work at law from around 1904 till his death in 1909.

      I know only the following
      1. His sister Annie Elizabeth REES was in SA as a teacher from 1902 till at least 1904, working in Pietermaritsberg area
      2. Edward was in partnership with one JOUBERT as a lawyer - I have found some cases on archives search
      3. He died in 1909 at age 40 - I have tracked down a probate but have yet to obtain it Public - Lorraine M - Researcher - 14 August 2015 - http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.africa.southafrica.general/4862/mb.ashx?pnt=1
    • I have a silver medal from the Parnell Football Club presented to E. A. Rees in 1891.

If this is the same person, was he in Auckland when he was 20 years old? Public - John - 25 May 2021 - vv
